How it works for football
Two teams per match, with however many players turned up. The admin marks who played on each side and the score in goals.
Every player on the winning side gets 3 points, and 1 for a draw. Whoever missed it does not play, and the table is per player, not per fixed team.
If the group runs a tournament on a Saturday, it splits whoever turned up into three or more teams and the tournament stays in the league history.

Yes, but it was built for groups of 10 to 20 people who rotate teams. If teams are fixed from season to season, a per player table says less than a per team table, which does not exist.
